Continuous industrial production or daily use, we often use tapping screws, we are not unfamiliar with ordinary tapping screws, but you know, there is still a triangular tapping screw on the market, and many people may not know much about it. Today we will take you to understand the difference between triangular tooth tapping screws and ordinary tapping screws.
The difference between the two is as follows:
1. The diameters are different. When calculating a normal tapped screw, its diameter algorithm is to start calculating the middle and upper part of the screw. The diameter of a triangular-tipped tapping screw is calculated based on the size of the entire threaded portion of the lead screw.
2. The pitch and the number of teeth are different. The pitch of the ordinary tapping is high at the bottom, the rhombus angle is clear, the pitch of the triangular automatic screw is closer to the machine thread, the thread coil has its own standard, and the three-sided position and size of the thread caliper are different.
3. The surface hardness is different. The surface of ordinary tapping screws is carburized and hardened, indicating that its hardness is higher than that of triangular-teeth tapping screws, but in general, the average hardness of triangular-teeth tapping screws is higher than that of triangular-teeth tapping screws.
In addition, the triangular tooth tapping screw is relatively clean during the installation process and does not produce iron filings, while ordinary tapping screws are prone to iron filings during installation.
