Connection of high-strength bolts

We all know that high-strength bolts are very suitable for the construction industry. In general, high-strength bolts are used to connect the main prefabricated components of the building structure. Generally, bolts can be applied repeatedly, but high-strength bolts cannot be applied repeatedly. High-strength bolts are generally used for long-term connection. High-strength bolts are pre-stressed reinforcement bolts. For friction type, use torque wrench to lift the specified pre-stressed reinforcement, and for bearing type, unscrew the red plum blossom. Generally, the bending strength of bolts is poor, which can be used in the sequence structure. Generally, bolts only need to be tightened.

The general bolts are generally Grade 4.4, 4.8, 5.6 and 8.8. High-strength bolts are generally Grade 8.8 and 10.9, of which Grade 10.9 is the most.
Grade 8.8 is the same as Grade 8.8S. The bearing capacity performance and calculation method of general bolts and high-strength bolts are different. The bearing capacity of high-strength bolts is firstly based on the lifting of the pretension strength P in its interior, and then the friction resistance on the surface of the middle of the connected parts to bear the external load, while the general bolts bear the external load immediately.

Tightening high-strength bolts with a special wrench results in a large and predictable bolt preload, and the same preload is caused on the connecting prefabricated members according to the screw cap and sealing ring. Under the tension of the prestressed reinforcement, the surface of the connected parts will produce large sliding friction. It goes without saying that as long as the axial force is less than the sliding friction force, the prefabricated component is not easy to move and the connection will not be damaged. This is the concept of high-strength bolt connection.

More specifically, high-strength bolt connection has the advantages of simple construction, good performance of industrial equipment, detachable type, fatigue elimination, and non-loosening under dynamic load. This is also a connection method with great market potential.
